Covid Blues

Covid Blues

People we never knew are dying

People we don’t know are dead

Their loss or ours?

It could be us next

Are you ready for your death?

Once we finish with the blame game

we look in the mirror and see the bone covered flesh.

Fragile, cracked and mental, many will die before their death

you know, give up on it and go through the motions on the couch

Life was slouch before all this and now I am armed with my resolutions

places to go and people to meet

I can’t

I don’t blame Drakeford,

I blame Globalism and keeping the Travel Corridors open.

The Airports have been the conduits of every God damn strain under the sun.

Now you tell me, you want a Brazilian?

Shave your own pubes love, I’m busy watching TV.
