You are dying for me to say something about Trump and Iran I know so I wont disappoint you. What an absolute twat of a bloke Donald Trump is. He will claim that the Iranian General had it coming, that he had blood on his hands but he needed a distraction from the Democratic Impeachment Proceedings and he got it. Now everyone is shit scared of the Iranian reprisal. They've said they are going to do it. On one of my many visits to Amsterdam in the old days when I was psychologically addicted to cannabis, I stood in Schipol Airport, in about 2004, looking out of a big window in my heightened state at what appeared to be a huge aircraft belonging to Iran Air and I remember being rather mesmerized and in awe and thinking then that these guys are the future.
Not that I want to give anybody any ideas but we haven't had a hijacking for a while. Hostage taking is always a media circus.Those of us of a certain vintage will remember the Iran Hostage Crisis of 1979 -1981 I don't think US citizens will be putting themselves in harms way but perhaps they will be in particular danger in African countries where Islamic Militants are particularly active. It is unlikely that Iran will be as nasty and underhand as ISIL and carry out the waiting game of guerrilla warfare on the European mainland but who knows this might be an opportunity for the Islamic World both Sunni & Shia to bury their differences and take on the cancerous West. The great American empire is crumbling from within and with a Walt Disney Cartoon Character as its President it can only be a matter of time before the rides at Disney World and Disney Land grind to a halt. This conflict is going to be a difficult one for American and UK citizens because we know who the bad guy is and it isn't the Iranians. The world has not been the same since 9/11. That was the tipping point. The global psyche shifted after that and even though we pretend to get on with our daily mundane existences many of us have that gnawing, intuitive feeling that some man made disaster is about to befall us. Oh and Happy New Year!
